Why "Freedom for Taksim Prisoners Campaign"
The state, attacking with police, teargas and bulldozers to the protesters in Taksim-Istanbul at dawn of 31st May and 1st June, did not calculate that the spark of actions looked-like a routine would burn the entire country with the fire of freedom. Unyielding response to the attacks on the tents has played a lightening role that forced people to resist and enlightened the path.

Neden "Taksim Tutsaklarına Özgürlük Kampanyası"
31 Mayıs’ı 1 Haziran’a bağlayan şafak vaktiyle beraber Taksim’deki protestocuların çadırlarına polisiyle, gaz bombalarıyla, iş makineleriyle saldıran devlet, sıradan görünen bir eylemin kıvılcımlarının bütün bir ülkeyi özgürlük ateşiyle yakacağını hesaba katmamıştı. Çadırlara yönelik saldırının baş eğmez bir tutumla yanıtlanması bir ülkeyi baştan ayağa direnmeye iten ve bir halkın yolunu aydınlatan bir şimşek rolü oynamıştır.

Warum Führen Wir Die Kampagne “Freiheit Für Die Taksim-Gefangenen” Durch?
In der Nacht vom 31. Mai zum 1. Juli wurden die Zelte der Protestierenden auf dem berühmten Taksim-Platz in Istanbul auf Befehl des türkischen Staates durch ihre Polizei gestürmt, die dabei Gasbomben und Arbeitsmaschinen einsetzte. Dabei wurde nicht erfasst, dass die Aktion auf dem Taksim-Platz, die nach einer ganz „normalen“ Aktion aussah, sich auf das ganze Land ausweiten würde. Den Angriffen auf die Zelte wurde furchtlos entgegengetreten und so begann das ganze Land mit einem Widerstand.

Pourquoi «Campagne Pour La Liberte Aux Prisonniers De Taksim»
L’Etat, qui à l’aube du 1er juin a attaqué les tentes des manifestant-e-s à Taksim avec sa police, avec du gaz lacrymogène, avec des canons à eau, n’avait pas imaginé qu’une manifestation qui paraissait ordinaire allait embraser le pays avec un vent de liberté. Le fait de répondre à ces attaques contre les tentes, sans se soumettre, a déclenché une tempête qui a poussé le peuple à résister et qui a éclairé son chemin.
